DOSE CALIBRATOR WITH IONIZATION CHAMBER

  • Activity range: 1 microCi to 1 Ci of Tc 99m.

  • Accuracy: +/- 5% depending on available certified sources.

  • Detector : pressurized ionization chamber with argon. Remote.

  • Shielding: 3 mm width lead interior lining.

  • Optional: Model ACT-15PF with special detector chamber and shielding for F 18 also.

  • Energy range: gammas up to 1.3 MeV.

  • Geometry correction: not needed up to 50 ml.

  • Activity display: 5 or 8 digits, floating point, automatic scaling (autorange ) or fixed range, mCi and MBq reading.

  • Programmable average of readings: from 2 up to 255 readings may be averaged to decrease statistical error.

  • Radioisotope selection: through a keyboard. 2 digits display.

  • Preset isotopes: up to 39. Automatic calibration by using certified sources.

  • Background: automatic subtraction.

  • Memory: 10 storage bins, 8-digit each, floating point, freely available for the user, protected against blackout.

  • Radionuclide stock management module: real time clock and calendar, protected against blackout, isotope stock memory to store activity and calibration date, amount and units (ml, cc, etc.), price and half life. Able to calculate the remaining activity at current day/time of any isotope registered in stock. All data may be printed through a parallel port. Serial port for computer connection. Half lives may be entered in years, days or hours at will.

  • Monitoring: continuous monitoring of background or activity at programmable intervals through digital display or printer; alarm levels may be preset. Cumulate activity measurement by integrating during a programmable time. Printer is optional.

  • Mains: 220 V C.A. (optional 110 V).

  • Frequency : 50/60 Hz.

  • Power: 15 VA.

  • Humidity: 85%, non-condensing.

  • Temperature: 10 a 35°C.

  • Manufactured according to resolution Nº 1030 of the Comisión Nacional de Energía Atómica (CNEA, the National Atomic Energy Commission of Argentina) of 07/DEC/1987.

  • Calibrated with certified sources of CNEA (Tc 99m, I 131,Ga 67) and our own certified sources of Ba 133, Co 57 and Cs 137. Model ACT-15PF is also calibrated with F 18.

More than 150 ACT-15P dose calibrators are working in Nuclear Medicine centers of Argentina, Brazil, Spain, Chile, Bolivia, Colombia, Perú, Uruguay and Venezuela.
